Q: What sets AUTO-logistics apart from Brokers?
A: AUTO-logistics is a Transportation Management Company that provides a service to both the customer and the carrier. We are not going to give you an immediate quote and then go find a below par carrier for as little cost as possible so that we can make the most money. Instead we are going to send your move out to bid and return bids from as many carriers as possible to you. At which time you will be able to choose the carrier that best fits your needs based on our tier rating system. Throughout your move we will be in contact with both you and the carrier to ensure that the carrier has all of the tools that they need to give you the best service possible.

Q: What if my vehicle drop-off or pick-up location is inaccessible to the truck?
A: Most auto transport trucks are quite large, up to 75 feet long. This sometimes makes it impossible to reach certain locations. If that's the case with your vehicle move, the carrier will attempt to get as close as possible to your delivery location. The carrier will arrange a convenient location, like a shopping center, to either load or deliver your vehicle.

Q: What happens once my vehicle is scheduled to be loaded?

Q: How do I prepare my vehicle for transport?
A: Here are the basics:
• Wash Your Vehicle! It is important that the driver is able to do a thorough inspection of your vehicle. Any scratches, chips or existing damages will be noted on the bill of lading.
• Remove all personal belonging from your vehicle.
• Make sure that your vehicle does not have any obvious fluid leaks.
• Disconnect, disable, or turn off alarm systems.
• Items that should be removed: wide mirrors, antenna (if possible), any loose parts or specialty items, your toll tag or E-Z pass, all exterior spare tire covers, grill covers, and non-permanent luggage, bike, or ski racks. Basically if it did not come with the car new or is not permanently attached, it should be removed.
• Repair or seal any tears or open seams on convertible tops to prevent fast-moving air from causing further damage.

Q: Can I ship personal items in my vehicle?
A: The Department of Transportation prohibits the transport of household items in vehicles being moved by auto carriers. If you have personal (non-household items) that you planned on storing in the vehicle during transport speak with one of our Logistics Consultants to clarify what you planned to leave in the vehicle. Be aware that all items left in the vehicle are not covered under the driver's insurance policy. You should also be aware that under no circumstances are you allowed to transport any illegal substances, firearms/illegal weapons or hazardous materials.

A: A lot of factors go into rate calculations; type of equipment required, the origin and destination, vehicle size, the level of service desired, regional weather, gas prices, shipping distance and shipping time, to name a few.

Q. What is an oversize fee?
A: Some vehicles are much larger than traditional passenger vehicles. Most full size SUVs and trucks fit in to this category. Because of the extraordinary dimensions, these vehicles take up the amount of space normally used for two vehicles, thus resulting in an "oversize" fee.
